They worked hard for the Miracle!

A healthy mindset to food is something I am learning to create everyday. Each meal time is met with an internal battle of eating for pleasure or eating for sustenance.

My imprinted pleasure default is bread (white flour products), sugar, salt, dairy. That's what my brain thinks it wants...even though my intellect knows It's the very last thing it needs.

Introduce into the mix a small child, my son Xaviar, who at approx 18 months stops eating anything healthy - it's a diet of white and yellow foods for him: pasta & cheese, hot chips, pancakes, corn chips n cheese & toast with butter.

He got the best deal signing up to life with me to support that kind of eating behaviour! Easy done. Really not a good thing though and try as I might the food fight was not one I wanted to have with him as I hadn't yet won it for myself!

At 8yrs of age his miracle came. I went to work and Lux (or 2nd Mom) took over, took control and took on the food fight. I only got in the way a few times but I learned quickly that I was definitely the problem that needed to stay away at dinner time.

One by one foods were introduced and replaced. The mealtime became structured and repetitive.

To see this menu (below) & to hear that Xaviar's lunch box at school is one of the healthiest they've seen, is truly amazing! I am eternally grateful to Lux for turning it all around what a phenomenal effort she has put in to create this miracle, she IS the miracle. (Thank you xx)

I can see the struggle is still there for him and I can relate completely so I continue to let Lux lead the rules of the food, giving me no opportunity to let him off the hook (which he tries to get from me often LOL)

It's quite shocking the level of addiction our so called "food" creates in our bodies. It's worth doing the research and cleaning up one thing at a time to create a clean & healthy lifestyle.

We have a goal that in 2 yrs time, when Xaviar is 10yrs old, that we will be living an 80-90% raw food lifestyle.

We are worth it.

If you want any tips for getting this to work for you, leave a comment and I'll ask Lux for you  HAHAHA  :)
